2、Wang (Botany) Directed by Prof. Zhu-liang Yang Abstract ： Over 400 specimens of the genus Lepioa (Pers.: Fr.) Gray (Agaricaceae， Agaricales) mostly collected from southwestern China and deposited in the Herbarium of Cry

3、ptogams, Kunming Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (HKAS), were studied taxonomically based on morphological and anatomical characters. As a result, 24 taxa were identified, of which 8 species (L. gu

4、ttulaspora H. C. Wang, L. pseudocristata H. C. Wang, L. furfuraceipes H. C. Wang & Zhu L. Yang, L. purpureo-brunea. H. C. Wang, L. flavotrama H. C. Wang, L. graciliospora H. C. Wang, L. rubro-brunnea H. C. Wang and L

5、. zangiana H. C. Wang) and 2 varieties (L. clypeolaria var. nigrosquamosa H. C. Wang and L. magnispora var. taiwanensis H. C. Wang) are new to science, and 2 species are new to China (L. erythrosticta (Berk. & Broome

6、) Sacc. and L. Luteocastanea E. Horak). One new combination is made (L. magnispora var. fulva (Bon) H. C. Wang). The diagnosis given by the author in the thesis is defined for the genus Lepiota in the narrowest sense. I

7、n this genus, four sections are recognized, viz. Lepiota sect. Lepiota, Lepiota sect. Lilaceae Bon, Lepiota sect. Ovisporae (J. E. Lange) Kühner and Lepiota sect. Stenosporae (J. E. Lange)Kühner. The delimitato

8、ns of them are discussed. Keys to these sections and taxa of each section are given. Detail description on the basidiocarp and important microscopical characters of each species and variety is given. Illustrations about
